Food Safety Authority of Ireland recalls certain batches of spinach due to listeria contamination.

Food Safety Authority of Ireland (FSAI) issues recall of certain batches of McCormack Family Farms Spinach Leaves, Supervalu Spinach Unwashed, and Fresh Choice Market Spinach due to the detection of listeria monocytogenes. Listeria can cause mild flu-like symptoms, gastrointestinal symptoms, and severe complications, particularly for vulnerable groups like pregnant women, babies, and people with weakened immune systems. Retailers are requested to remove the affected batches and display recall notices, while consumers are advised not to consume them.
