Delhi Capitals' GMR Group acquires majority stake in England's Hampshire county cricket team for £120m.
Delhi Capitals co-owner GMR Group agreed to buy a majority stake in English county cricket team Hampshire for £120m ($156m). This would be the first time an overseas franchise owns a county club in England. The deal gives GMR Group control over the Utilita Bowl cricket stadium, a Hilton hotel, and a golf course. If approved, the acquisition could potentially allow access to Delhi Capitals' young players for domestic tournaments.
