Chinese Consul General in Mumbai, Kong Xianhua, praised India's support for China and expressed gratitude for the Indian Coast Guard's successful rescue missions involving Chinese mariners. Over the past two years, Indian Coast Guard has rescued three mariners in Mumbai's consular district alone, and over the past decade, has saved 27 Chinese citizens. Recalling India's support during the Sino-Japanese war in 1938, Kong stated that China is ready to work with India to strengthen friendship and bridge the gap between their people, emphasizing the common philosophy of "People First, Life First" in both countries.
