10bn Golden Pass LNG export project in Texas delayed until end-2025 due to lead contractor Zachry Holdings' bankruptcy.

Exxon Mobil and QatarEnergy's $10 billion Golden Pass LNG export project in Texas has been delayed until end-2025 due to lead contractor Zachry Holdings' bankruptcy. The 18-million-metric-ton-a-year facility, owned 70% by QatarEnergy and 30% by Exxon, was initially planned for mid-2025 operations, supplying customers in Europe and Asia. McDermott International and Chiyoda International Corp will now complete the work, originally led by Zachry.
