Former Indian cricketer and coach Anshuman Gaekwad, known for his 40 Test matches and 15 ODIs for India, passed away at 71 after a battle with blood cancer. Gaekwad also played 206 first-class games for Baroda, served as a selector, and was India's head coach from 1997 to 1999. He was honored with the CK Nayudu Lifetime Achievement Award in 2017-18 and was the President of the Indian Cricketers Association.
