44-year-old ex-Dublin airport policeman, Mark Adams, has been extradited from the Irish Republic to Northern Ireland to serve a prison sentence for laundering millions of pounds for criminal groups by smuggling cash on flights. Adams, who took nearly 500 flights over five years, was initially arrested at Belfast International Airport with €180,000 disguised as legal documents. He previously served a five-year prison sentence in Ireland before being transferred to Northern Ireland to serve an additional 20-month sentence.
