2nd-largest Lithuanian city Kaunas introduces €2 one-off fee for cars entering "low emission zone" from 1 Aug.

Kaunas, Lithuania's 2nd-largest city, began charging a €2 ($2.16) one-off fee for cars entering its "low emission zone" on August 1. The zone covers the city's historical center and the area where Rivers Nemunas and Neris converge. Drivers have seven days to pay after leaving the zone; failure to do so may result in an administrative fine. This is the first city-wide car restriction in Lithuania.
