£100m Clipstone ghost estate abandoned after Sherwood Oak Homes bankruptcy, sold to Persimmon Homes.

A £100m partially constructed housing estate in Clipstone, Mansfield, has become an overrun wildlife sanctuary after developers Sherwood Oak Homes went bankrupt, leaving the 313-home development unfinished. Local residents describe the site as a "ghost estate" reminiscent of the apocalyptic video game, "The Last of Us." The 26-acre site has been sold to Persimmon Homes, but residents are uncertain about the appeal of homes in proximity to the abandoned structures.
