13,500 kg of controlled chemical, sodium cyanide, was seized in Myanmar's Shan state after a tip-off. The Central Committee for Drug Abuse Control reported the confiscation on August 1, stating the chemicals were found buried in iron barrels in a house's yard in Nawnghkio township. Two suspects have been charged under the related law, with further investigation ongoing and a street value of approximately $38,571.
