Iraq and British Petroleum (BP) signed an agreement to develop four oil and gas fields in the northern province of Kirkuk. The MoU involves rehabilitating and developing Kirkuk oilfield, Bai Hassan, Jambur, and Khabbaz oilfields, and aligns with the government's plan to invest in energy opportunities, enhance oil production, and diversify energy sources. BP has a history of oil production in Iraq since the 1920s.
