Canadian energy company TC Energy's Q2 2021 net income increased to $963M from $250M in 2020.

TC Energy Corp., a Canadian energy company, reported a large increase in net income for Q2 2021, at $963 million, compared to $250 million in the same period in 2020. This increase is attributed to a loss experienced in its Canadian natural gas pipeline segment in the previous year. Adjusted earnings slightly fell to $978 million in Q2 2021, down from $981 million in the same quarter of 2020. TC Energy's revenues increased to $4.09 billion in Q2 2021, up from $3.83 billion in the same quarter of 2020. The company also announced a dividend increase to 96 cents per common share, up from 93 cents declared in the previous year.
