The Canadian government is investing $10.15m to establish the Canadian Battery Innovation Centre (CBIC) at Dalhousie University, aiming to advance battery technology, support the expanding battery sector, and drive economic growth across the electric vehicle supply chain. The CBIC, led by battery scientists Drs. Michael Metzger and Chongyin Yang, will facilitate development of next-generation battery cells and provide industry-oriented training.
