Assam CM raises alarm over increasing Rohingya influx, calls for stricter border measures.

Assam Chief Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma has voiced concern over the increasing influx of Rohingya into India, warning of a "real and grave" threat of demographic invasion. Sarma criticized the governments of West Bengal and Jharkhand for their lenient approach to infiltration and urged the Indian government to strengthen its border with Bangladesh, particularly in West Bengal. Sarma praised Assam and Tripura for taking strong actions against Rohingya infiltrators, resulting in numerous arrests in both states.
