Albuquerque temporarily closes all public pools and splash pads for a day of deep cleaning due to two reported cases of cryptosporidiosis, a disease causing watery diarrhea. Despite no detection of the parasite in city pools, the Parks and Recreation Department opted for extra precautions. Facilities will reopen on August 2nd after a chlorination process.
