A 24-year-old software engineer in Hyderabad was allegedly gang-raped by her childhood friend and his cousin at a restaurant-cum-bar in Vanasthalipuram. The victim, who was celebrating her new job, went to the venue with her acquaintance from class 2, where they consumed alcohol. After the party, the friend took her to a hotel room and allegedly raped her while she was inebriated. He later called his cousin to the hotel, who also sexually abused her, according to the police. The Rachakonda police have registered a case and initiated an investigation.
