A 56-year-old former pre-school teacher in Singapore has been charged with one count of ill-treating a child after allegedly kicking a four-year-old girl's shin on April 2. The woman, suspended after the incident, resigned and has not worked in the preschool sector since. The Early Childhood Development Agency (ECDA) had suspended her from pre-school duties and taken regulatory actions after being alerted to the incident on April 3.
