Sea turtles found on new dunes in Flagler Beach, Florida, constructed by the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, are at risk of crossing State Road A1A. To prevent this, the Florida Fish and Wildlife Commission and U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service are collaborating with Flagler County to accelerate permanent sand fencing installation or set up temporary silt fencing, adjusting the design to protect both sea turtles and gopher tortoises.
