The New York Mets have acquired starting pitcher Paul Blackburn from the Oakland Athletics in exchange for right-handed pitching prospect Kade Morris. Blackburn, 30, was an All-Star in 2022 and has a 4.41 ERA in nine starts this season. In eight seasons with the Athletics, he holds a 21-26 record with a 4.83 ERA. The Mets hope to strengthen their pitching rotation with Blackburn's addition.
