MAN PrimeServ to offer methanol conversion kits for existing MAN engines in 2025, aiming for climate-neutral shipping using green methanol.

MAN Energy Solutions subsidiary, MAN PrimeServ, will offer methanol conversion kits for existing four-stroke MAN engines starting in 2025. Tested since summer 2024 at Augsburg, Germany plant, the first conversions for a pilot customer are planned for autumn 2025. The retrofit aims to enable climate-neutral shipping using green methanol and provides customers with an economically attractive opportunity to future-proof their investments.
