Alternative investment firm Stonepeak acquires NZ's largest aged care provider Arvida Group Limited for about NZ$2bn, through a court-approved scheme of arrangement valued at NZ$1.70/share. The acquisition is subject to New Zealand High Court approval, Arvida shareholder approval, and consent under the Overseas Investment Act 2005. Goldman Sachs is Stonepeak's financial adviser, while Bell Gully advises Stonepeak, and Chapman Tripp advises Arvida.
