30-year-old Jose Galicia drowned in Gladwin County's Lake Lancer on Saturday, July 27. First responders were called to the scene at 7:42 p.m. Galicia was swimming near his friend's boat when he disappeared underwater. CPR and rescue efforts were initiated, but he was pronounced dead at the scene. The incident is presumed to be an accidental drowning.
