26-year-old defender Jess Carter has left Chelsea Women for NJ/NY Gotham FC in the US, ending her six-year spell with the Blues. Carter, who made over 150 appearances for Chelsea, has signed a two-year deal with the NWSL champions. She follows goalkeeper Ann-Katrin Berger, who also moved to Gotham FC earlier this year. Carter has won five consecutive WSL titles with Chelsea and earned a place in the England squad that won the Euros.
