23-year-old Harry White was sentenced to 4.5 years in prison for a knife-point mugging in Newport, where he threatened a man with a kitchen knife, took his property, and forced him to withdraw more money from an ATM. The victim escaped to a pub, where he called the police, who arrested White shortly after. White pleaded guilty to robbery and possession of a knife in a public place at Isle of Wight Crown Court.
