21-year-old defenseman Brock Faber signs an 8-year, $68m extension with Minnesota Wild, with an AAV of $8.5m. Faber, who made his NHL debut in April 2023, had a strong rookie season with 47 points in 82 games, leading all rookies in time on ice and blocked shots. The extension starts in 2025-26 and makes Faber the longest-signed player on the Wild and one of their highest-paid players.
