24-year-old Dakota Deane was killed in a single-vehicle crash in Searsmont, Maine, on July 27. The 2007 Nissan Versa, with four occupants, left the road and hit two trees at approximately 1:36 p.m. Deane died at the scene, while the three other passengers suffered serious injuries and were transported for medical care. The crash remains under investigation by the Waldo County Sheriff's Office and Maine State Police.
