3-year-old boy critically injured after falling from 8th floor of Independence Towers apartment in Independence, Missouri. First responders were called at 10 a.m. and the child was treated at Centerpoint Medical Center before being transferred to Children's Mercy Hospital. Independence Police Department is investigating the incident and the building has faced previous issues with pest problems, air conditioning, and heat.
