Sinéad O'Connor's cause of death has been revealed as chronic obstructive pulmonary disease (COPD) and asthma one year after the Irish singer passed away aged 56. The "Nothing Compares 2 U" hitmaker was found unresponsive at her home in London and her funeral was held in Bray, a coastal town in Ireland. O'Connor's exact cause of death was confirmed by her death certificate, which stated the singer died from exacerbation of chronic obstructive pulmonary disease and bronchial asthma together with low-grade lower respiratory tract infection.
