The World Bank has approved $150m to expand Azerbaijan's Employment Support Project, which aids vulnerable populations (IDPs, women, youth, long-term unemployed) by promoting self-employment. Over three years, 15,000 beneficiaries, including 5,000 women, received assets to start businesses. The new funding will scale up existing programs, test new mechanisms, and improve the Azerbaijan Public Employment Agency's offerings for jobseekers.
