Viaro Energy acquires UK Southern North Sea assets from Shell and ExxonMobil in a $500m deal.

Viaro Energy is set to acquire UK Southern North Sea assets owned by Shell and ExxonMobil, significantly expanding its producing portfolio. The deal, worth approximately $500m, will see Viaro take full ownership of the Shell-operated Bacton gas processing terminal and 11 operated offshore assets, which accounted for 5% of the UK's total gas production in 2023. Exxon's exit from the North Sea region marks its complete departure since 1964.
