US Congress passes "All American Flag Act" requiring US-made flags for federal purchases.
The US Congress has passed a proposal, called the "All American Flag Act", requiring the federal government to purchase only American flags fully manufactured in the US. Currently, the country imports millions of flags from abroad, mainly from China. The new rule aims to support domestic production and reduce reliance on foreign sources for national symbolic items, and is expected to be signed into law soon.
