Two people are dead after a homebuilt seaplane crashed near Merritt, British Columbia, on Sunday evening. The Transportation Safety Board, RCMP, and BC Coroners Service are investigating the cause of the crash. The aircraft, a Coot A amphibian plane, could take off and land on both water and land. The plane was about two kilometers northeast of Merritt Airport when it went down.
