2 oil tankers collided near Singapore, caught fire, and were detained by Malaysian authorities for investigation on 19 July.
Two oil tankers, MT Hafnia Nile and MT Ceres 1, involved in a collision near Singapore on July 19 have been detained by Malaysian authorities to assist with the investigation. The collision occurred 25 nautical miles northeast of Tanjung Balau, Johor, and both vessels caught fire as a result. The Malaysian Marine Department is investigating the incident under the Merchant Shipping Ordinance (MSO) 1952/60.
