Odisha CM Mohan Charan Majhi suspended senior IPS officer Pandit Rajesh Uttamrao due to grave misconduct. The 1970-batch Odisha cadre officer was posted as the Deputy Inspector General (DIG) of Fire Services and Home Guards. The suspension followed a confidential report submitted by the Director General of Police concerning an incident on July 27 that lowered the dignity of Uttamrao's position.
