ANZAED's 22nd Annual Conference in Auckland, August 22-25, 2024, will focus on indigenous knowledge in the eating disorder field. Over 1.1 million Australians live with an eating disorder, a 21% increase since 2012, leading to 1,273 deaths in 2023. In New Zealand, over 100,000 people live with eating disorders, with Māori rates nearly double that of non-Māori people. The conference, themed "Let the New Growth Bloom," will explore cutting-edge research and innovations for eating disorder treatment and care.
