The Maharashtra government has established a six-member committee, led by Dilip Bhosle, former Chief Justice of the High Court, to investigate the Ghatkopar hoarding collapse tragedy that killed 17 people in Mumbai. The committee, which includes officials from the state DGP office, BMC, a structural engineer from IIT Bombay, an Income Tax Officer, and a Chartered Accountant, is tasked with determining the sequence of events, causes, and consequences of the incident, and assessing the roles of the companies responsible. The panel will submit recommendations to the government within a month.
