Director General of Health Services (DGHS) Prof. (Dr) Atul Goel chaired a meeting with 27 major Indian health professional bodies to discuss health promotion initiatives. Participants agreed to adopt a Health Promotion Declaration and collaborate with the Union Health Ministry to reduce tobacco usage, alcohol abuse, and other risk factors. The meeting highlighted the collective commitment to fostering a healthier nation through health education and prevention strategies.
