The Indian government has extended the hold on new wastage norms for gold, silver, and platinum content in jewellery exports until August 31, 2024, due to concerns raised by the exporting community. The Gems and Jewellery Export Promotion Council (GJEPC) requested the review of the new norms, which were initially set to be re-evaluated in July.
