The San Francisco Giants traded outfielder/DH Jorge Soler and right-hander Luke Jackson to the Atlanta Braves in exchange for injured left-hander Tyler Matzek and High-A third baseman Sabin Ceballos. The trade reunites Soler and Jackson with the Braves, who they both played for in 2021, when Soler was named World Series MVP. The Giants are not expected to engage in a larger fire sale, despite the trade.
