Inland Fisheries Ireland (IFI) is investigating a significant fish kill in the Aughrim River, Wicklow, where up to 2,000 fish may have died, including juvenile and adult Atlantic salmon, trout, and lamprey. The source of the pollution has not yet been identified, but water samples have been collected as part of the ongoing investigation. IFI became aware of the incident following reports from the public and has been at the scene since Sunday morning.
