The Detroit Tigers acquired right-handed pitcher Ricky Vanasco from the Los Angeles Dodgers for cash considerations, filling an open spot on their 40-man roster. Vanasco, 25, was designated for assignment by the Dodgers, having made his MLB debut in April and posting a 13.50 ERA in two appearances. He has a 3.47 ERA and five saves in 24 relief appearances at Triple-A Oklahoma City this season.
