Colombo Port, Sri Lanka, has been recognized as the world's fastest-growing port in Q1 2024 by Alphaliner, an information platform for the liner shipping industry, boasting a 23.6% growth rate. The Sri Lanka Ports Authority (SLPA) earned $50 million in the first quarter of 2024. Aviation services also increased by 25% in the same period. Sri Lanka plans to expand its international airports to cater to more passengers.
