British veterans feel let down by the Ministry of Defence (MoD) for not providing support as they were exposed to cancer-causing chemicals from polluted water at Camp Lejeune military base, North Carolina, between the 1950s and 1980s. The MoD is accused of not helping them access a US compensation scheme for victims that closes next month. The MoD, however, claims it takes the safety of its personnel seriously.
