Binghamton University researchers develop self-powered water-skimming bug for aquatic robotics.

Researchers at Binghamton University, State University of New York, have developed a self-powered "bug" that skims water and detects environmental data. The bug's technology may revolutionize aquatic robotics, as it can withstand adverse conditions better than solar power alternatives. The team, led by Prof. Seokheun "Sean" Choi, hopes to contribute to DARPA's "Ocean of Things" program, addressing the challenges posed by aquatic environments covering 71% of Earth's surface.
