A coroner is investigating the death of 27-year-old Phillip Reidy from Victoria, who took suspected cyanide tablets while being arrested by police on July 2 on family violence allegations. Reidy had informed his mother and partner he would consume cyanide if arrested again due to his deteriorating mental health. The coroner will examine how Reidy gained access to the cyanide tablets and compile evidence by October 29.
