31-year-old former Major League Baseball (MLB) relief pitcher Reyes Moronta died in a traffic accident in his native Dominican Republic. Moronta, who played for the San Francisco Giants, Los Angeles Dodgers, Arizona Diamondbacks, and Los Angeles Angels during his six-season MLB career, signed with the Bravos de León of the Mexican League in May before being released last week. The Bravos de León confirmed Moronta's death and expressed condolences.
