54-year-old Melody Waldecker from Maryland was killed in a carjacking at Sterling Town Center in Virginia, where she was struck by the suspect's vehicle as he fled the scene. A suspect was arrested, and no ongoing threats exist. The Loudoun County Sheriff's Office requests witnesses to contact Detective Rodriquez at 703-777-1021. This is the second fatal car theft in Northern Virginia in a week.
