14-year-old Mak Whitham debuted in NWSL as youngest pro player, playing for Gotham in a 1-0 win.

14-year-old McKenna "Mak" Whitham made history in the NWSL by becoming the youngest professional player to debut in a top U.S. soccer league. She played for Gotham in the 80th minute of a match against Washington Spirit, with Gotham winning 1-0. Whitham is the second 14-year-old to debut for a professional U.S. soccer team this month, after Cavan Sullivan signed with the Philadelphia Union in May.
