20-year-old driver caught speeding at almost double the limit in his dad's Ford Falcon faces six-month licence suspension, $2,959 fine, and six demerit points. On July 26, Hawkesbury Highway Patrol officers detected the car allegedly being driven at 144-157 km/h on Boundary Road, where the speed limit was 80 km/h. The car's owner was not the driver, preventing the impounding of the vehicle or confiscation of its number plates.
