17-year-old Dhaka College student Hasnatul Islam Faiyaz's seven-day remand was cancelled by a Dhaka court in a case involving the murder of a police officer during the quota reform protests. Faiyaz's lawyer submitted an application challenging the legality of the lower court order, and after a hearing, the court declared Faiyaz a juvenile. The High Court will provide further orders on July 29.
