Union Minister of State for Education, Sukanta Majumdar, reported that the government has taken several steps to address student suicide cases. According to National Crime Records Bureau data, only 1.2% of total suicide cases are related to examination failures. The minister mentioned various initiatives to curb incidents of suicide among students, including those in Kota, a coaching hub for competitive exams in Rajasthan.
